Director of Religious Education 

United First Parish Church (UFPC), Church of the Presidents, of Quincy, Massachusetts

United First Parish Church (UFPC), Church of the Presidents, of Quincy, Massachusetts, seeks a dynamic and experienced Director of Religious Education (DRE) to work in collaboration with the Religious Education Committee for the next church school year, August 2014 through mid-June 2015.

Located in Quincy Center and accessible by MBTA, UFPC is a small, historic church with a vibrant RE program.  The DRE will be responsible for coordinating the UU religious education program in partnership with the RE Committee for 32 children and teens at UFPC.

The duties of the position include

  • Present children’s story/ message during Sunday worship services
  • Promote RE program through the church newsletter
  • Write monthly Board of Governors reports and one annual report
  • With the RE Committee, provide programming for the 2014-2015 church school year, and other duties as needed.

Youth Advisor First Parish Church Duxbury Unitarian Universalist

First Parish Church Duxbury, a vibrant 300 member congregation on Boston’s South Shore, is seeking applicants for Youth Advisor, a new part-time paid position  working with 9th through 12th grade youth helping plan, organize, and participate in activities with the High School Youth Group, including weekly Sunday night meetings, overnights, fundraisers, and special events. The work should take between 12 and 20 hours per month and pays a stipend of $300 per month during the church year (10 months). The ideal candidate would be at least 25 (to ensure enough separation from the group), but also able to relate to youth in a meaningful way. Director of Religious Education

First Parish in Canton seeks a dynamic Director of Religious Education (DRE). This 20 hr. /week position is an exciting opportunity for an individual to develop, oversee and implement religious education and youth programs for grades pre-K through 12 in collaboration with our minister and religious education committee. 
We seek an individual who is enthusiastic and motivated to lead this vital part of  our congregation.
