a group of 25 families with 40 to 50 children ranging in ages from 2 to
17 years. We are looking for professional leadership to help us develop
a strong, exciting and creative RE program for our children and youth.

Acting Director of Religious Education
First Parish Church in Norwell is recruiting an Acting Director of Religious Education to serve during the transition between Directors of Religious Education by running the church school and Lifespan Religious Education programs which promote the personal and spiritual growth of the children and adult members of the church. This position will report to the Minister and Religious Education Committee and is up to 30 hours per week beginning August 25, 2013 through June 30, 2014.
The Acting Director is responsible for recruiting teachers and baby-care room workers for the church school year, providing teacher orientation and teacher support throughout the year, working closely with RE Committee and others to develop curriculum, getting feedback and developing the religious education program, coordinating, the Youth Group, working with the Minister and other interested church members to coordinate and/or provide Lifespan RE programs and other regular and routine operational duties. Director of Religious Education
First Parish in Cohasset, a welcoming congregation, seeks a caring and creative Director of Religious Education for 30 children and youth. The position is for 20 hours/week, 46 weeks/year starting mid August 2013 (no benefits). The Director works with the Minister and the RE Committee to create and communicate a vision for Unitarian Universalist religious education to the congregation and to visitors.
The Director of Religious Education is responsible for facilitating the educational experiences of children and youth with a focus on developing intergenerational relationships and experiences. We plan to further develop thematic small group ministry experiences to deepen the grounding of children and youth in their UU identity and our sources of wisdom. In additon, the DRE is responsible for developing rapport with parents to ensure the program is meeting their anticipated needs and interests.
